What exactly is Private STD Testing?

As the name suggests, Private STD Testing differs from regular STD Testing in how we handle your personal and healthcare information. Our manner of handling your Protected Health Information (PHI) is in inviolable compliance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule. Any exchange of information between the testing center and you will take place in complete privacy and any charges you incur during the testing process will not reflect as medical in nature.

Who should get tested?

Sexually active individuals should get tested for STDs irrespective of their relationship status. Invididuals who have or have had multiple sex partners in the past should get tested every six months because they are at a much greater risk of getting infected. Even if you are in a committed relationship, getting tested for STDs can save you from unpleasant surprises.

Practising safe sex is the best thing you can do to safeguard yourself against STDs, but even safe sex methods like use of condoms carry a certain risk. The risk arises from incorrect use or breakage of condoms during sexual intercourse. Many STDs can also be transmitted by oral sex, therefore, it is always advised to get tested and be sure that you're clean.
